The Sunbelt Motel opened in the summer of 1974 and never technically closed. The pool was drained in 1987 for reasons that were not fully documented. Room 22 has been unavailable since the early nineties.
Housekeeping still comes on Tuesdays. The vending machine by the ice maker stocks three items, two of which are the same. The parking lot is full most nights despite no record of check-ins.
